Scrip Fundraiser Program: If you buy groceries, gasoline, or gifts, our Scrip program is for you. When you purchase scrip ("substitute money"), you are purchasing gift certificates and prepaid cards that can be used just like cash. Scrips are available for everyday items like food, clothing, and gasoline. With every scrip purchase you make, you will help earn revenue for the Preschool. Brochures and scrip order forms are available at the Preschool Display in the narthex.
Food Pantry Collection: The Woodstock Food Pantry, like all pantries in the McHenry area, is struggling due to a decline in donations and a simultaneous increase in need, and our effort to help with restocking the Pantry continues. As you shop for groceries, please pick up some extra non-perishable items to help feed the hungry of Woodstock. Some suggestions: canned fruits or vegetables, boxed macaroni & cheese, canned tuna, instant oatmeal, canned soups, tea, hot chocolate, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, cereal. Please place items in the collection bin in the narthex.
Pancake Breakfast: On the third Sunday of each month, from 7:00 am to 9:30 am, St. John's Men's Club serves breakfast in the Social Hall. The menu is pancakes, sausage, and a beverage. The cost is a freewill offering.
Recycle! Recycle! Recycle!: We are recycling three items here at St. John's:

Paper: We have three bins for paper in the small parking lot on the east side of the church building. If you need help getting your paper brought in, please contact Matt Hooper or Pastor Larson and they will help arrange a pick-up.

Aluminum: Save you aluminum and bring it with you to church the third Sunday of the month. We will take it from there.

Cell phones and ink cartridges: The recycle box for these is on the Welcome Center.

February 11 - 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm: Valentine's Steak Dinner: On Saturday, February 11th, our ANGELS and Men's Club will be serving a Valentine Steak Dinner. Everyone is invited ... and don't forget to bring your sweetie!
February 25 - 1:00 pm: "America's Got NO Talent": Theatre on the Green Co. of Young Actors will present "America's Got NO Talent", an original one-act comedy written and performed by the young actors, on Saturday, February 25th at 1:00 pm in St. John's Social Hall. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served; a goodwill offering is appreciated. For further info, please call Lisa Waichunas at 815-354-7435.
March 4 - 7:30 am: "Breakfast with Babe": Enjoy a breakfast buffet and hear Babe Winkelman, host of television's "Good Fishing" and "Outdoor Secrets," speak about his 30-plus years of outdoor adventures. Tickets are $20 each and are available at www.GreatOutdoorExpo.net.
