 Jerrilynn Mazurk |
Mrs. Mazurk is starting her second year as our Preschool Director and teacher. She is a graduate of William Raney Harper College and of McHenry County College. Although Mrs. Mazurk started college to become a teacher, she instead studied for an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She later decided to pursue her original dream of teaching children and returned to school to obtain both an Early Childhood Certificate and her Illinois Director Credential.
Mrs. Mazurk and her husband David have three children: Brian, Rebecca, and Nathan, and a grandson, Tyler. They also have a dog, Buddy.
Mrs. Mazurk's favorite preschool activities are music, story time, and creative thinking. Her favorite stories are "Owl Babies" and the Mitford series. Among her favorite foods are Chinese, Italian, and fun salads. Ammong her favorite music are country-western, big band, and Josh Groban. In her free time, Mrs. Mazurk enjoys quilting and walking. Her favorite Bible passage is Matthew 22:37-40 – "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets."

 Kim Niehaus |
This is Mrs. Niehaus' second year teaching at St. John's Preschool. A 1998 graduate of McHenry County College,with a degree in Early Childhood Education, she became a teacher because she enjoys the energy and enthusiasm of young children and finds teaching a rewarding position.
Mrs. Niehaus and her husband Ray have a seven-year-old son, Kevin. She also has a cat named Taz.
Mrs. Niehaus' favorite preschool activity is art, and her favorite books are It Looked Like Spilt Milk and The Very Quiet Cricket. Her favorite food is spaghetti, and her hobbies include scrapbooking and taking pictures. Her favorite Bible verse is John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". |

 Vonnie Johnson |
Mrs. Johnson is new to St. John's Preschool this year. A graduate of Mount St. Clare College, in Clinton, Iowa, Mrs. Johnson has a Liberal Arts degree, plus sixteen hours of Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Johnson became a teacher because she loves little children and has patience with them, which she considers her gift from God.
Mrs. Johnson and her husband Mike have five children: Marcy, Joy, Lori, Michael, and Holly.
Science, sign language, and music are Mrs. Johnson's favorite preschool activities. Her favorite books include the stories of Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein poems, Halloween stories and songs, the Mitford series, and quilting stories |

 Zofia Czapla |
Mrs. Czapla is new to St. John's Preschool this year. She is a graduate of the Politechnika Czestochowska in Poland, where she earned a Masters degree in science.
Mrs. Czapla and her husband Jerzy have two children, Rafal and Daniel. They also have a boxer named Saba.
Mrs. Czapla's favorite preschool activities are science and art. Her favorite children's books are The Giving Tree, and Shel Silverstein and Eric Carle books. Her favorite food is cheese cake, her favorite song is "What a Wonderful World," and her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 7:12 &mdash Therefore, whatever you want mn to do to you, do also to them. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and knitting. Mrs. Czapla says she is "very excited to be joining St. John's Preschool family." |
